H.E. Fisher

H.E. Fisher is a poet, writer, writing coach, editor, and health literary advocate. H.E. is the author of the collection Sterile Field (Free Lines Press, 2022) and poetry chapbook, Jane Almost Always Smiles (Moonstone Arts Press, 2022). H.E. is the co-editor of The Big Brutal Act (Small Harbor Publishing, forthcoming 2026).

 

H.E.’s work has appeared in Psaltery & Lyre, Ligeia Magazine, Tupelo Quarterly, Rogue Agent, Whale Road Review, Broadsided Press, DMQ Review, The Rumpus, The Hopper, Miracle Monocle, SWWIM, Anti-Heroin Chic, and Canary, among other publications.

 

H.E. was awarded the 2019 Stark Poetry Prize in Memory of Raymond Patterson at City College of New York, has been nominated for Best of the Net and The Pushcart Prize, and is a recipient of the Poets Afloat,  Stonecrop Gardens, and Bethany Arts Community residencies; she is also a No, YOU Tell It! storytelling alum. H.E. has received grants from Arts Council of Rockland (ACOR) and ArtsWestchter. 

 

H.E. is the Editor-in-Chief of (Re) An Ideas Journal, and is the co-founder of Say Ah!, a health literacy organization.
